Bastaman & Partners The Law Firm was established in April 1995 by Syarif Bastaman and Jessie Noermattias, after exercising legal practice for 7 years in another law firm in Jakarta. Today, as one of Jakarta's fast growing law firms, we have 11 lawyers with a wide range of practice experience such as corporate law and financing, cross-border investment, property and legal consultation in general. However the firm focuses more in the fields of:

• Capital Market
  Three of our lawyers specialize in, and are registered in the Capital Market Supervisory Board (BAPEPAM) as capital market legal consultants in the Indonesian Capital Market Transactions, such as in initial public offering, the issuance of commercial papers, rights issue, merger and acquisition;
• Debt Restructuring
  In the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) and the Jakarta Initiative Task Force the law firm is listed as reference, allowed to conduct legal due diligence on the legal status of debtors for and on behalf of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA), which also covers in drafting and revising debt restructuring agreement, and is actively involved in debt settlement negotiation process under the Jakarta Initiative Task Force, on behalf of the creditor or the debtor;
• Property
  The Firm conducts investment and development activities, sale and purchase, acquisitions, and securities;
• Litigation:
  The firm also specializes in the commercial, banking; and industrial relationship matters;
• Arbitration:
  Actively handles commercial settlement of dispute under arbitration rules and procedures, within national or international scope;
• Receivership and Administrators:
  Three of our lawyers are registered to practice as receivers and administrators in the area of bankruptcy law.
